XRP price: Can ETF inflows push XRP above $1.55?
XRP has returned to the $1.50 area as traders prepare for a Sept. 30 shareholder vote on Evernorth Holdings’ planned Nasdaq transaction, while U.S. spot XRP ETFs continue attracting fresh capital.
- XRP trades near $1.50 now as the September 30 Evernorth shareholder vote approaches this week.
- Spot XRP ETFs attracted $75.59 million last week, lifting cumulative net inflows to $1.79 billion.
- Evernorth holds 473.28 million XRP and plans a Nasdaq listing under the XRPN ticker symbol.
- September 30 shareholders will vote on Evernorth’s merger, while remaining closing conditions still require completion.
- Analysts identify $1.55 as immediate resistance, with higher price targets remaining conditional on confirmed breakouts.
CoinGecko data show XRP trading near $1.54, with a 24-hour range between $1.50 and $1.55 and a market capitalization near $96.9 billion. Trading volume stood at roughly $2.7 billion when the data were checked.
The token had traded near $1.47 earlier during the latest pullback before recovering part of the decline. XRP remains above its recent sub-$1.30 lows but continues to face resistance around $1.55 to $1.60.
Two events now sit close together on the calendar. Armada Acquisition Corp. II shareholders will vote Wednesday on its proposed combination with Evernorth, while XRP is testing the same technical area that several analysts have identified as the next breakout level.
Can XRP price clear the $1.55 resistance?
XRP has repeatedly struggled to establish a sustained move above the $1.55 region following its September recovery.
The daily chart shows XRP trading near $1.4753 after retreating from the recent $1.60 area. Price recovered from an August low near $1.00 before moving into a consolidation range between roughly $1.35 and $1.60. The latest decline of approximately 2.73% points to short-term weakness, while XRP remains well above its August low.
Momentum indicators remain modestly positive. The Relative Strength Index stands at 54.49, above the neutral 50 level but below its signal average near 57.03. The reading shows buying momentum has weakened from earlier September levels without reaching the overbought zone above 70.

The MACD remains slightly bullish. Its line stands near 0.0518, above the signal line around 0.0481, while the histogram remains positive at approximately 0.0037. The narrow gap between the two lines shows bullish momentum remains limited as XRP consolidates below $1.60 resistance.
In related coverage, crypto.news reported on Sept. 25 that XRP had climbed back toward the 1.55–1.60 resistance zone after gaining nearly 16% over seven days.
Market analyst Ali Martinez has placed similar attention on $1.55. His Sept. 18 chart showed a possible inverse head-and-shoulders formation with its neckline around that level.
Martinez said a confirmed break above $1.55 could open a path toward approximately $2. The projection depends on the pattern completing and does not represent a confirmed price outcome.

Peter Brandt has presented a longer-term view. In a Sept. 21 chart shared on X, the veteran trader said the structure “implies an eventual advance to $5.40.” Brandt made clear that publishing the chart was not the same as placing a trade and gave no timetable for the target.
Brandt returned to XRP several days later and said traders did not need strong community loyalty to consider the asset. His comments referred to XRP’s chart structure, not a confirmed purchase or recommendation.
The immediate technical test remains much closer to current prices. XRP needs to establish a sustained move through roughly $1.55 before the higher chart projections identified by Martinez or other analysts become relevant.
XRP ETF inflows reach $1.79 billion
U.S. spot XRP ETFs attracted $75.59 million in net inflows during the Sept. 21–25 trading week, according to SoSoValue data.
Bitwise’s XRP product accounted for $58.99 million of the weekly total. Franklin Templeton’s XRPZ added $16.60 million, taking their cumulative inflows to approximately $677 million and $501 million, respectively.
Combined historical net inflows for U.S. spot XRP funds have reached approximately $1.79 billion. The products held around $1.77 billion in net assets at the end of the week.
Friday produced $22.65 million of net inflows, following $20.02 million on Sept. 22, $18.04 million on Sept. 23 and $14.89 million on Sept. 24. Monday recorded no net movement.
Crypto.news had reported cumulative inflows near $1.76 billion on Sept. 25, before the full week’s flow data were available. The same report cited Santiment data showing large XRP holders accumulated 1.54 billion tokens within a 96-hour period.
Earlier in September, crypto.news reported that Bitwise’s XRP ETF alone held more than 365 million XRP worth roughly $507 million as of Aug. 30.
ETF flows measure capital entering and leaving the investment products. They do not establish that XRP must rise on the same day, and several sessions during September recorded inflows while the token declined.
Evernorth vote puts Sept. 30 in focus
Armada Acquisition Corp. II shareholders are scheduled to vote Sept. 30 on the proposed business combination with Evernorth Holdings.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission declared Evernorth’s Form S-4 registration statement effective on Aug. 27, allowing the companies to distribute definitive proxy materials and proceed with the vote. SEC effectiveness does not represent approval of the transaction or Evernorth’s XRP strategy.
As crypto.news previously reported, shareholders who held Armada shares on the Aug. 20 record date are eligible to vote at the virtual meeting. Public shareholders seeking redemption faced a Sept. 28 deadline under the proxy materials.
If shareholders approve the deal and the remaining conditions are met, the combined company expects to trade on Nasdaq under the ticker XRPN. Nasdaq listing requirements still have to be satisfied before the transaction can be completed.
Evernorth disclosed plans to operate an actively managed XRP treasury. Company materials say it intends to deploy assets through XRP Ledger infrastructure, treasury strategies and capital-market activity designed to increase XRP represented by each share over time. The objective remains a company plan, not a guaranteed financial result.
The company currently controls or has commitments covering approximately 473.28 million XRP. Evernorth announced in November 2025 that it had acquired an additional 84.37 million XRP for about $214 million, taking purchased and committed XRP above 473 million tokens.
Evernorth’s $30 million financing depends on closing
Evernorth has arranged another $30 million of financing ahead of the shareholder vote, but the money has not yet been funded.
An SEC filing shows Evernorth signed a note purchase agreement on Sept. 11 with NH Investment & Securities, acting as trustee for Kyobo AIM Corporate Finance General Private Investment Trust No. 3.
The agreement covers $30 million of 4% convertible senior payment-in-kind notes due in 2031. The financing is scheduled to close only when Evernorth’s combination with Armada closes, which the filing says is expected during the fourth quarter.
Evernorth may use proceeds for general corporate purposes, including additional XRP purchases and activities within the XRP ecosystem. The filing does not require the entire $30 million to be spent on XRP.
As crypto.news reported, describing the agreement as a completed $30 million raise would be premature because issuance and payment remain conditional on the business combination closing.
The proposed transaction originally involved more than $1 billion of gross proceeds backed by investors including Ripple, SBI Holdings, Pantera Capital and Kraken. Evernorth amended parts of the structure in August after XRP fell below the $2.36 reference price used when the original agreement was signed.
Under the revised structure, the number of shares issued at closing will adjust with XRP’s market price. Evernorth said investors representing more than 95% of committed capital agreed to the amended terms.
The shareholder meeting remains scheduled for Sept. 30. Approval would still leave the parties to satisfy the business combination’s remaining closing requirements and Nasdaq’s conditions before Evernorth can complete the transaction and operate publicly under XRPN.
